> This is my dilemma. I need another printer and the 3000 has everything I want (larger print size, larger paper, 4 colors). But all the problems with the 3000 prevent me from making a purchase decision. > > Any words of wisdom...especially from 3000 users? > > Helene Helene, I use a 3000 and have not had any problems that I can remember with ink or paper jams...haven't quite figured out where the best spot to feed through the banner slot is though to get the image in the (not quite) middle. An occassional 'head cleaning' cycle needs to be run. Started with Epson Inks and have been using Lysonic E inks lately. I sometimes wonder if a particular ink system seems prone to 'clogging' that the 3000 would be a better choice with it's larger spit. Course the fineness of a print may not be what some of the other printers offer with 4 picoliters... In the last exchange Paul Roark's print on a 3000 looked better than what I have pulled off mine so far. I chalk that up to a matter of time and experience (I'll catch up). Haven't worked through the last print exchange completely and I was going to make a mental decision about printers and potential after that. Last, I adjust my expectations to my skill and the medium. An image needs to be made with the potential of the method considered. Sincerely, Cleavis
