Digital BW, The Print

Good Morning Steadman,

If you are in the USA, have a happy Thanksgiving, if not, have a great
weekend.

After Christmas I will have the time to start experimenting with the digital
B & W process.

For photoshop6.1 only, I am using a  dual Mac G-4 with one gig of ram,
Polaroid SS4000 film scanner, Microtek Scanmaster 4 flatbed, Yamaha CD
burner, Wacom tablet and an Epson 1270 for a printer using their inks. I use
Hasselblad for work and a Nikon F5 plus an 8008s for vacations.

Would you have a ball park figure as to what you think it would cost to set
up a system for making the Piezo prints?

As you can see I do not have a system to calibrate the above and I get the
impression that this would be important to do. What equipment do you
recommend? I want to keep using the 1270 for Epson Inks.

I have been following, or that is trying to follow this list for some time
and I am still confused about a lot of things. For instance, as a simple
question, I still haven't figured out what OEM actually means. I guess it is
the actual inks from Epson.
