If your UT2 prints look too dark, you should check to see if the cartridge was loaded correctly. This is done by printing a color test file (Purge6-2) and comparing the results to scans of what the print should look like. The test files are on my web page at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/Test-files.htm If you have a bad cart, contact MIS. They will replace it. Mistakes happen. I recently bought a replacement 1280, my old one having died. I'd been using UT2 inks in my old 1280 and was very happy with the results. So, I loaded up UT2 inks in my new 1280 and the same images are printing horribly! The midtones are printing too dark and the shadows have a dull cast to them. I've checked the nozzles and they are fine, the only thing that looks a bit suspect is that, when I run a purge test, the C and M inks look like they might be reversed. Could this (possible) ink reversal be the source of my problems? How likely is it that MIS messed up? If this is the problem, how do I correct it? New inks?!
