exactly the same things happen to all the time.

you are not alone, I just learn to live with it
although it's annoying.

also, my 4000 refuses single sheets loaded from the
top of the machine... just the paper tray.

I, too, have had some strange printing problems with the 4000.  QTR would show portrait and print landscape. The image would not be centered even when that is checked. My solution was to take QTRgui out of PS and use it from the desktop. Then my problems disappeared.

I am printing with a 4000 on a Mac using QuadtoneRIP
2.1., Premium Luster 
roll paper.  It has been acting strange lately. It
will start to print just fine, 
somewhere in the middle it will stop, backup and start
to print over the top of 
where it already printed. One of the strange things is
that it will print a couple 
prints normally and then start acting up. I just
printed one print twice; the first 
one was find the second was not.

Please help, this is driving me crazy.
