Ernst, Thanks for the tip on scanning at 1605 ppi. This made a dramatic difference in the quality of my 4x5 negative scans on the 3200, compared to just scanning at 1600 ppi. Much better detail and sharpeness at 1605 ppi (using Vuescan).
