Hmmm, noone answered. I still wonder if the HPs are generally to be
considered as inferior to the Epsons. I want to buy a large format
printer this year, and being an amateur a 7600 or even a new Epson
4000 is a lot of money for me. 

Has someone used the HPs with success, also for b&w printing? 

In the end I dont really care if the longevity is 70, 200, or "only"
10 years. Peronally I doubt if anyone can stand the same print on his
or her wall for more than a few years. 

One thing I have doubts about is whether there is support by the RIP
software for the HPs...
