IMO, the 4800 vs. 5760 is a moot point. I don't anybody --or why-- print at that resolution. It is imperceptible from 2880 w/ high speed off at all reasonable and/or normal viewing distances. As for the PX-G5000, I've never heard of it, so cannot comment. If it has pigment vs. dye in the Canon, that's an issue. The pigment wins.
