Diane : I have had for years 21"crt but I am not expert not really my industry. I started coming here to learn about B&W printing. My crt started dieing. I went out and bought a couple Samsung LCD. I started with the calibration but have decieded that I need to upgrade that area in the softwear and hardware not sure which one to buy yet, I dont want a 1200 dollar area as I said not a pro. that being said, when I started the research on LCDs I found certain areas need to be look at. Pixel size, contrast area, refresh area. And most of the montors that I have look at in the 1500 and less did not equal to the Samsungs that I was able to get, I got a 21.3" LCD and a 19" the 21.3 allows me to hook to computers up to it, I run an OS/2warp box and a xp box. Hook the dvi up to xp and analog to OS2. Hook up the 19" to a win2000 box. Have been pretty happy with the results so far. Cant wait to get better calibration software. The advantage to LCD is a 19" is 19" not 17" only problem is 19" only does 1280x1024 :( as I use to run 1900x1400 on my old crt. The 21.3" will do 1600x1200 and can be rotated to have it 1200x1900 which can have some added benefit. Anthony
