Digital BW, The Print

I tried to search the archive and came up with no hits on this 
subject.  The troubleshooting section of QTR Help advises that there 
have been problems reported with 2880 dpi printing.  Is there a work-
around?

Off-subject - but if anyone knows any good resources to learn a 
black and white process flow for CS I would be appreciative.  I've 
learned a lot in the last couple weeks but I struggle with how much 
I can(or should) do in 16 bit and then what to do in 8-bit.
