This may not help, but one of my associates just had this same problem using my Nikon 9000 -- color neg shot of a person, ended up w. a weird "snakeskin" pattern on the person's skin. (It only happened to this one scan out of a series of about 30 prior scans). When he re-did the preview and re-did the final scan, the film scanned correctly without the "snakeskin."
