Within the context of the original discussion, QTR, I can't comment. But for color printing, I generally use perceptual, or, sometimes not... err... Often I preview it both ways to decide. There are some situations one is definitely required, press proofing for example. With Eye-One RGB profiles, always perceptual as the relcol conversions looked bad, this may have been fixed with recent updates but I don't use it for color profiles anymore so can't say for sure. Color space and input profile conversions are always colormetric, even though PS appears to give you a perceptual option, it's an illusion. So it you are refering to the color settings pref, I believe it's only relevant to CMYK conversions since they are really output profiles. Tyler
