Previously I have commented on my problems with flaking and "sparkles" in Moab Entrada and Photo Matte. What you describe sounds something like the sparkles that I saw, that where thought to be crystals that sometimes form in the coating. They are quite noticeable in black areas of my prints. I have quit using Moab papers because of them. I've printed only on two sheets so far, and have not seen any flakes; however, I have noticed what could be described as "drops" of the inkjet receiving layer on the paper. They stand out slightly above the normal texture of the paper, but can only really be noticed when viewing the paper at an extreme angle to a light source. Are these the source of the flakiness that others have reported, or are they something different? They seem to be fairly well attached to the paper, though I was able to pop one off with a blade. I'm *not* concerned about this in terms of image quality, just curious about the reported flaking. -Steve
