In the Curve Creation Help file Roy says:
"Hardware Ink Limit Calibration
It's a good idea to let the printed page sit for a while to let
the
inks stabilize. Next figure out the overall hardware ink limit for the
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
printer. This can be done visually by just looking at the test print
and deciding where the inks seem to max out -- i.e. fill the patch."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
And I'm confused. My 1160 with MIS original quad inkset has 4 inks and
the 4 individual inks have different limits read from the printout! So
which *one*, if any, do I use? For example, on EEM K max = 85 (55); C
max = 90(70); M max = 90(60); Y max = 100(80). Numbers in parentheses
are unaided visual, otherwise they were read with a loupe to determine
where they "fill the patch"; all are in bright incandescent light (GE
Reveal).
All help is appreciated,
Frank
