I'm just beginning my fine art paper adventure and thought other newbies might like to hear of my experience printing on Premiere Hot Press. It's a very beautiful paper but it is a very warm paper. Neutral QTR curves with UT2 look cool against the warmth of the paperÂ…not too pleasing to my eyes. Warm prints look wonderful but have an antique look that may not be appropriate for all images. The dmax was very acceptable and actually better than I had anticipated after reading some other reviews of the paper. It has a very sturdy (not tender) feel and the paper doesn't flake as far as I can tell. The 1280 will accept the 300 gsm version if you prefeed the paper by pressing the paper feed (maintenance) button and set the paper thickness lever to envelope. Not setting the lever to envelope created some strange dot patterns under a loupe that indicated the heads may be grazing the paper. I like all the qualities of this paper except for the yellowish warmth of it and the tendency to make the UT2 inks look cooler. It looks like a good look at Hawk Mountain papers is next for me. Jim
