The more important question is "for what media were the curves you are using
written for?".  When someone sits down and develops a set of QTR curves they
choose then which "media type".  Ink levels, partition points and
linearisation are all done with a particular media type set.  In general, it
is not a setting that one would change without redoing the curves.
