One powerful but cheap package is PTGui, which uses the Pano Tools DLL as its calculation engine. It is less automated than Photomerge, which means you don't have to worry about the computer being fooled into splicing the images incorrectly. It can produce 16-bit output, including multiple TIFFs with alpha channels for the masks, so that you can manually tweak the masks when you layer them in Photoshop. -- Ciao, Paul D.
