I've experimented with various ways to get a good print from my 1160 with the Cone Piezotone inkset. The only one that delivers a great-looking print with a good stepwedge (even change between steps) is the beta OPM that was downloadable from Bowhaus a year or so ago. I'm struggling with the Cone plugin to find a curves adjustment that will deliver a good stepwedge. Only problems with OPM: Considerably cooler than prints from the Cone plugin (on the same media), but the main problem is unacceptable dithering...smooth tones from the Cone plugin are granulated with OPM. Is this the way it is with OPM, or has this dithering issue been fixed in the commercial version now available? -- John
