Digital BW, The Print

I'm thinking of resurrecting B/W printing.

I tried for a while with an 1160 but spent much of my time
dealing with clogs, and abandoned that to concentrate
on color using a 1270.

Now I'm thinking of getting a C86 to use with the MIS EZ inks dedicate
to Black & White or a new 2200 for both color and B/W with the Epson inks,
using the QTR rip for Black and White.

I'm interested in understanding how these two approaches compare.

Anyone care to offer opinions and insights about these two paths?
