I recently got a 12-24 for my D70 and so far, it's a hoot to shoot, even though it's my first zoom and I'm not so used to the "zoom to frame" thing. My D70 bag has the 12-24, the 45/2.8P and an 85/1.8. A 35/2 will fit in there too if I have a jones for a ~50mm equiv. It's a new "kit", but it's done the trick for a few outings.
