Not many people seem to know about this qtr stuff but I'll ask this anyway. I've been following Roy's recomened resolution settings for QTR with Ultrachrome on a 9600 and with hundreds of prints have had perfect registration and resolution. The recommended setting is 1440x720 Four Pass. I had only one print that gave me some banding out of all these and so I set the resolution to 1440x720 Unidirectional for that print only. I couldn't tell any difference in the print speed between these two settings but the banding went away immediately in that problem area. The way it is printing looks the same to me and I don't understand the designation 4 pass. QTR has a ton of dpi combinations and I don't really understand the significance of a lot of them. By the way I have been told that the max length for QTR with 7600-9600 printers is 100 feet long. Not bad. I have done up to 12 feet with no glitches, but only with the sheet paper setting. Had trouble in OSX Panther with roll setting for long panoramas. John
