Digital BW, The Print

I've been printing bw with epson c64 as BO and with hp 7660. Now I'm 
considering to buy a larger printer, but need help to choose. I found a 
netstore, who still sells epson 1160, but also hp 9800. Both can do fine 
  bw-prints and the price is about the same. Still, hp 9800 uses no. 100 
gray cart, and this costs 26 \ufffd. It contains 15 ml of ink. The hp no. 59 
gray cart contains 17 ml (I think) and I've been able to print 10-15 A4 
sized prints with it. So printing A3 or super-B sized prints  with 
no.100 may give 5-7 prints per cart, and that's quite expensive. On the 
other hand, refilling epson 1160 cart with eboni and printing BO will be 
much cheaper. But. I've tossed 4 epsons because of clogs from hell. I'm 
also very pleased with hp 7660 print quality, but the costs are just too 
big. So I'd like to hear from people using 1160, if they have had bad 
clogging or any other experiences that can help me choose the right printer.
