Last year Epson introduced a "film only" Brit-nominclature "3200-
sumthin'" (not similar to the US 3200 flatbed) and didn't even 
bother to mention it in the US (no surprise...photo-i reviewed it as 
equal or inferior to the 4870..at far bigger L$).

 Epson's an ace, but they're not nearly as adept at advertising as  
HP ( constant highly aggressive HP printer radio ads on my state's 
most expensive station). 

Seems like that film-only machine was a leaden trial baloon...maybe 
we'll never see a 2400 or 4800 in the US, instead a 2500 and a 5000? 
Maybe they're reading this group, aware of the enthusiasm for glossy 
and B&W :-)

Is "Shutterbug" generally considered credible? Serious question.
