Maris, Apparently when Ilford says Smooth Pearl is designed to be "instant dry" with pigment inks, they are refering to the inks in your C80. The MIS FS prints I did yesterday still smudge on the Smooth Pearl. MIS FS has the same slight bronzing and slow drying on the Smooth Pearl, the Classic Pearl and Epson Colorlife. Come to think of it, the Epson pigments have always been better on glossy papers. The 2000P prints on Epson Luster. Jeff, Epson Colorlife=Ilford Classic, very interesting. I compared B&W and color prints on these papers and it looks like you are right. The main difference is price. The Ilford Classic can be as low as $.40/sheet in a 250 box and the Colorlife is almost twice that. My wife and I thought we could detect a slight difference in texture, but it's hard to say. Julian and anyone using sprays to eliminate drying/bronzing problems, I guess I'll look for the Krylon Crystal Clear UV. The Lyson Printguard says to let the print dry first and that could be a long time. Any other suggestions and sources are appreciated. Thanks, Hap
