Speed is very good but not really my concern. I have been using uni-directional and fine detail settings at 2880dpi. For "photo" printing I slow it right down anyway so that the ink has greater drying time before exiting the printer - increases quality but more importantly reduces the chance of dust settling on a slightly damp print. Certainly it is faster than Epson UK support.
