I did a series of tests with the 4000 driver to see if I could get a better Dmax, and found this to be the case. My subsequent discussions with Epson confirmed this, so it appears the maximum inkloads are hard coded into the driver for a given paper/ink combination. The color density adjustment bumps up the ink loading somewhere in the middle. Personally, I wish Epson would add a slider inside the driver for expert users, allowing a +/- 20% control for total ink loading. This would really help when building custom profiles. Lou
