Exactly, and there are certainy many platinum prints out there that are not that impressive, just like any other process. Often the older prints don't have it, it was just a material they printed on for all kinds of reasons, without necessarily exploiting this quality. The best ones I have seen tend to be contemporary, always from the original neg (not enlarged). Along with the quality you mention there is the impression of infinite detail, and infinite tones. Other than superficial qualities like paper surface and warmish hue, inkjets don't really have the same impact, just a little different. Tyler
