Steve, I think you've missed out one very important point here. It isn't just a matter of producing an ink and finding a matching paper; you have to research and design the appropriate software to put that ink on/in the paper to best advantage. MIS don't seem to do that; they seem to rely on others such as Paul and Roy to do the serious work for them. Epson works with ink 'engineers', paper 'engineers', and software 'engineers', so that all three are matched.
