I have been using QTR toning for landscapes on HPR of 70 sepia and 30 warm. They give a richly toned brownish/sepia hue. Now, I have tried that combination on people portraits and find the prints very heavy and muddy looking with no tonal separation. So, I lowered the gamma adjustment and increased the ink limit to get better tonal separation which solved the muddiness. The problem is that the tone changes, and instead of a rich brown/sepia, the tone leans toward yellow. Any suggestions on how to retain the brown/sepia with tonal separation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lisa [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
