From what I have been told by a local developer, the 8000 will be using the same heads as the Epson 10000, BUT will be using a brand new and unreleased as of yet inkset that is said to have virtually no metamerism, and no fading! (Sounds too good to be true and you know what they say about that). The printer will most probably be chipped I would think as well. Perhaps Epson can pull this off...It will surely be interesting.
