LCD screen on the Imac G5

I've been thinking of upgrading from my G4 to a G5 and the price
difference between a tower plus a monitor and the imac is tempting.
Has anyone used the imac G5. How does the lcd monitor compare to a
Viewsonic or a LaCie crt type monitor. Speaking as a serious
photographer and a concerned printer.
