Mike, I have my 1-yr old 19 in Samsung SyncMaster and my 3 yr old Sony trinitron next to 
each other. The LCD has better contrast, and no flicker and is definitely better for 
browsing, word processing, spreadsheets and the like. You get better color accuracy and a 
larger color gamut on a CRT, (though LCD technology is closing the gap). AS in many 
things, depends on your needs, IMO. My serious photography is in B&W; color for family 
snapshots and vacation pics. In my case the LCD is perfectly adequate and I plan to 
replace the Sony eventually to reclaim some desk space.

If your work is color-critical you probably need to stick with CRT for now.
