Hi Having finally got around to installng my UT7 carts, I decided to do a few tests. I printed out the same image in a few different ways, including using the standard B+W settings in the Epson driver with UC inks, using QTR, using BO and finally playing with curves and the UT7 inks. I think the cool curve for EEM on the 2200 is about what I would call neutral, with everything else being too warm for me. Anyway, onto the point of this. When I did a BO print as per Clayton's site I ended up with what can best be described as a copper toned print. Could this mean that my Matt black cartridge is not what it is supposd to be? It is an Epson one, but is labelled Made in China rather than Japan. I think this would explain why I spent several days tearing my hair out last month when printing colour and any deep shadows where going horrifically red. Am I right in thinking this must be a bad cart? I was suspecting BO prints to be shades of grey, not shades of Red! Anyway, any images i print without a vast amount of shadow seem fine, and it is only very obvious on images which have very deep shadows. Any comments or similar problems out there or am I just cursed? Cheers for reading my ramblings DAve ___________________________________________________________ How much free photo storage do you get? Store your holiday snaps for FREE with Yahoo!
