Steadman, Ouch! Haven't hit that one yet. How about turning the cork upside down and gluing it (two part epoxy) to the bottom of the cover so that the other end will rest on the very right end of the support arm? You could even drill a hole though the cover and attach the cork with a sheet metal or wood screw.
