Tyler- I agree with you. I think the long view is that the digital darkroom hasn't yet reached the point where the techniques photographers use are not yet as transparent as those that make traditional photography and the wet darkroom so accessable. The technology making all this possible will continue to improve but the real work--the work that is supported by lists like this one--is in developing the technique that takes best advantage of the technology. In this environment there are many "experts", real and imagined. And, I would suspect, some fame and fortune to be gained. What matters most, though, is that information is shared as accurately as possible and let others verify it. It can be difficult, though, when opinion is presented as fact.
