I may have mentioned this earlier, thanking Clayton Jones for his insights ... Shot of a man and his grandchild, Leica IIIC, Neopan 400 @ 800, Emofin...printed black only...I saw these two, thought them appealing, asked to photograph them, made 5X7s on 8.5X11 Entrada using *Black Only*, and a full format on that size using QTRgui, sent the three prints FOR FREE to the subject. The subject emotionally thanked me, asked me to shoot a wedding in that style, saying he and his extended family LOVED it. Sophisticated people, grownups, SLR shooters. I ordinarily refrain from weddings because I've done five or six and honestly never done a good job..but this one gets to be done with a 1949 Leica and a 1956 Canon, all on Neopan 400 scanned by Nikon, so it's *bound* to be wonderful. I have refused money because I don't need it just now and I want to have a portrait business in 2006 from referrals-only. I'm building that referral base now...I will use this 35mm rangefinder approach only (sometimes will do grainy Fuji NPZ color as well as Neopan). If referrals expand, cool. If not I'm doing what I want and I've still got my day job. www dotte channelsynergy dotte comb Entrada and Black Only result in 35mm images much more beautiful than most photographers have ever seen on silver paper. QTR is even better, in some situations. Again, thanks to Clayton Jones and to QTR, whoever they may be, not to mention Leica, Epson, and Moab, and to this Yahoo Group. Djon
