Digital BW, The Print

I need a clue: when using QTR with cuts sheets on an Epson 4800, I 
have to manually push the up or down paper advance arrow on the 
control panel before the printer will begin printing. The paper loads 
normally, but as soon as its in place the red light adjacent to the 
advance buttons illuminates, indicating there's a problem. Once the 
either button is pushed, everything works fine. This is not an issue 
when using the Epson driver. Any idea how 
to cure? Running XP Pro. Thanks much.
