RE: [Digital BW] QTR 2.30 beta / R1800

2005-07-14 by John Moody

That sounds like good news. Any chance you can share the LAB values from
the gray ramp?
Would you think the R1800 is a close contender to the R2400 with your
results out of QTR, or just wishful thinking on my part?

Best regards,
John Moody

Subject: [Digital BW] QTR 2.30 beta / R1800

Roy and R800/1800 users,

Even with this beta version my R1800 is in full production with QTR.
2800 dpi printing is now very fast and I'm able to create beautiful
cool, black, and sepia profiles for a Brilliant Supreme Luster paper.
For each of these profiles the GLOP curve defined with two points:
0,50 and 100,50 yields bronze free prints with excellent black.

There is though a strange issue which only happens when printing
through QTR. There is subtle banding in the top .6 inch of the paper.
To avoid this banding I just need to tell QTR to print starting at
somewhere beyond .6 in the top margin. I wonder if other R1800 users
experience the same thing.

Thanks for quick work on the R1800.
