Would you think the R1800 is a close contender to the R2400 with your results out of QTR, or just wishful thinking on my part? For each of these profiles the GLOP curve defined with two points: 0,50 and 100,50 yields bronze free prints with excellent black. There is though a strange issue which only happens when printing through QTR. There is subtle banding in the top .6 inch of the paper. To avoid this banding I just need to tell QTR to print starting at somewhere beyond .6 in the top margin. I wonder if other R1800 users experience the same thing.
