Gadzooks!
Just got this thing today...I've been wet-printing around 35 years
or so, and on the sample sheets of EEM I managed to print a color
photo with proper balance _the first time_ and a warm-toned b&w print
that was an absolute bear to print on Ilford warmtone and then
selenium toned. Amazing; it was file-print with preview etc, just fine
the first try.
Anyway..observations..EEM with MK seems to have somewhat weak blacks
with the Epson profile; a bit of adjustment while viewing proof colors
fixes it...but....
The couple of b&w prints I made (with PS CM) were pretty much as I
wanted, regardless of the weak blacks. No crossovers, casts, shifts
etc..they looked really good.
I'm leaning towards picking a couple of papers, then doing custom
profiles if needed. Just my two cents worth. Anyone want some darkroom
gear?
