I'm not sure progress in making a better base has much to do with the Epson
K3 inks.  The timing might just be a happy coincidence.  The new base will
probably replace the base in all UT inks.

The general pigment industry is a lot larger than Epson.  From what I can
tell, the only unique think Epson has is the acrylic coatings on the
inkjet-size pigments. This coating may have both good and bad qualities.

Let's hope.  I'll be fade testing them this month.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
