My driver, for Windows, and with MK loaded in the printer does not have a BO (or three-black) mode available. The options are "Color Controls," "Photo Enhance" (there's a scary thought), ABW or "ICM." There is also no BO within any of those selections. What the latest version of the Epson driver (5.52 as of 8/22) does offer is a much more complex ICM setup. It essentially provides the capabilities of PS color management: ICM Mode (Basic or Advanced, the latter providing a very complex range of settings), Input Profile, Intent, and Printer Profile. The Input and Printer selections offer all the ICC profiles in the Color folder (Windows). So, if you use PS (and anyone who didn't wouldn't know what this new stuff was all about anyway), I don't think this adds much to the mix. One thought, at least possible, is that letting the printer designers make these conversions might provide something that the PS conversions don't. Maybe someone else wants to look at all this in more detail. Epson has an odd way of constucting this stuff without really discussing its purpose. Incidentally, on the possibility that it was not clear, if you select "No Color Management" in the Epson driver, none of what I have discussed is available.
