Scott, Not done enough with my R2400 to consider myself an 'expert', but using the highlight point shift puts some ink on the 255 patches and shifts the neighbouring tones. But I haven't read a detailed scale to see how far down the shift goes. I've just printed the white point series from http://www.zuberphotographics.com/page_WhitePoint.htm which gives a series of patches at intervals of 1 and 2 from 255 down to 198, and that clearly shows the effect of checking the highlight shift box. Bob Frost. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Jones" <peanutdogs@...> Good morning. Can any of our expert r2400 members comment on the highlight point shift feature? Does it just lay down some ink anywhere where the value is 255 to get rid of bare paper and the resultant gloss drop out, OR does it shift the entire tonal range down? Has anyone done any tests?
