I have a simple solution to all your problems:    BUY A  4000!!!!
 
Big carts and the best BO. You have used up the $1295 price tag already  with 
all the dinkin' around with these little crappy desktop units and hard to  
use software.
 
Besides, the 4000 head are so "tight" tolerance wise that you actually CAN  
use the high spee/bi-directional setting on the Epson driver and there is NO  
banding. At 1440, I can spit out an 8x10 in 3:09 flat.
 
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, don't  
wannagobacktothemlittleprintersnomo!!
