Hi Frank I can't give you a comparative recommendation, but I have used the Nikon 9000 for 6 months now, scanning mainly 6x7, b&w and colour and I've certainly had no complaints. I've heard a lot of people comlaining about the nikon film holders, but I haven't had a problem, although I opted for the glass film holder for MF, which adds to the price. I use Silverfast AI rather than the Nikonscan software.
