I should actually go back and try to clone out the troublesome spot but I
must admit I have never been able to such a repair job (even a minor one
with the clone tool) to my satisfaction....

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
