RE: [Digital BW] 4800 and QTR?

2005-08-26 by John Moody

There is a UC-NoBlack-neutral profile for the 2200. You could do the same
thing for the 4800, but with 2 light inks rather than just one. It mixes
light cyan and light magenta with the light gray to make the black. You
could also try mixing full strength cyan and magenta, since the 4800 has two
light grays, that could be better; I have no idea, it would have to be
tried.
The curve description is below. Note that the black ink is limited to 0, so
it is not used.

John Moody

Subject: [Digital BW] 4800 and QTR?

Does QTR support the Epson 4800?

And, is it possible to print on matte papers without using "Black"?

I need to keep PK in my printer for printing color on glossy,
luster, ....

Went to the QTR website, but couldn't find the answer to my 2 questions.

Thanks,

Scott
