Here are my two cents... You will find the film -> develop -> scan -> PS workflow to be much more time consuming than using your digital SLR. This is something you need to take into account. The fact that you are already proficient in PS helps matters a lot, but scanning film takes time and there is a bit of a learning curve to it. You can process 120-format B&W film on your own very easily and a JOBO setup is certainly not required (colour is another matter but you need a fairly high throughput to make home colour processing worthwhile). I process all kinds of film (B&W and colour, negative and reversal) at home, without either a darkroom or specialized equipment. It's easy to learn. You definitely need to give thought to how much you are prepared to spend on a scanner. The Nikon 9000 is certainly a great piece of equipment, but it is expensive. The Epson flatbed scanners with transparency adapters do a decent job scanning 6x7 for prices ranging from $200-$500 but neither the resolution or density range is as good as a dedicated film scanner (although I'm very pleased with my Epson 4180 flatbed).
