Blushing was the bane of a photographers existence in the C'print days when most studio output was lacquer sprayed. It wasn't pink. It just was a veiling(milky) look to the coating that occured when spraying under high moisture conditions. Lots of spray booths were not in ideal places due to the need to keep it out of confined areas.
