-"After wrestling with a MIS CFS on my 1280 without ever getting -reliable prints, I stuffed it in a drawer...I then saw the new clear -carts and thought they looked great (and I had all of that ink left -over). However, I have cleaned, purged, and printed until I am ready -to be fitted for restraints, and it simply will not print a complete -image without dropping nozzles. -I finally gave up and switched back to color dye. Perfect nozzle -checks immediately, and no issues." I had a 1280 that worked well with MIS pre-filled carts. As soon as I started using refillable spongeless carts I started to have trouble. My hands were constantly raw from scrubbing the ink off of them. About half the time after a refilling, I wasted half the ink to get a good test pattern after repeated cleanings. When it worked, the look of the prints were wonderful. In terms of reliability it sucked. In the end I bought a 2400, which I am very pleased with. Now that MIS is about to start selling ink for the 2400, and I suspect shortly (right Paul) a set for B&W I'm starting to get that itch again. I try to imagine the prints with a set of eight carts for B&W. Didn't anyone wonder why MIS sells Lava hand soap on their website? I guess this time I'm also going to need Corn Huskers Lotion.
