I have seen a number of digital printing classes offered, for example by Santa Fe Workshops or the Maine Photographic Workshops. My approach will be to take a class in digital workflow this fall at my local photography school (NESOP -- I am in the Boston area), and then perhaps later to take one of the more advanced one-week printing classes when I get a bit more confident with my photoshop workflow. I'm interested in both color and B/W, but if you are focusing on B/W exclusively, then perhaps others can say which classes they have taken that they thought were especially good. I have seen several good books on digital workflow, but they typically spend only a small amount of time on B/W. And my impression is that printing technology is changing so quickly that books on it are pretty rare. Good luck!
