Yea, it does sound like a defective ink cart. If you haven't had an problems with other cart sizes recently, it probably isn't a hole in the line. I have heard of carts leaking leaking like this. You might want to call them and ask for a quick response. If it is leaking send it back and ask them for an overnight replacment.
